OUR ANIMAL WORLD

Our nursery offers a unique experience, where the children take care of the animals of our ButzenHaff garden every day. Our hens, pygmy goats, rabbits and bunnies are an integral part of their everyday life, which allows them to develop a strong emotional bond with these animals.

IN THE GARDEN

Another exciting activity for our little ones is tending the vegetable gardens. Our farmers can plant their own fruit and vegetables here and experience the exciting process from seed to food. They also learn the importance of a healthy and balanced diet. In addition to the positive impact of nature on their mental and physical health, children develop their sense of touch and their fine motor skills.

ANIMATION AND DEVELOPMENT

The little ones are requested individually by being able to autonomously choose between the music, games, theater, natural sciences, reading or Snoezeleck, which serves relaxation. In this way, each child can develop his interests and skills according to his own rhythm.

ABOUT US

Our pedagogical approach is based on interaction with nature and animals. We are convinced that this is an important part of the general development of children. The benefits of nature and contact with animals on physical and mental health have been demonstrated in numerous studies.

Spending time outside in a natural environment promotes physical activity in children. They can run, climb, explore and play, which demands their motor development as well as endurance.

Furthermore, interacting with animals can help reduce stress, improve well-being and develop social skills. The children learn to take care of the animals, which develops their sense of responsibility and empathy.

Our nursery offers this enriched environment where children can enjoy the benefits of nature and contact with animals every day.

Good morning, I’m Julien, 34 years old and an engineer by profession.
As parents of two young children, Charlotte (2) and Maxim (1), we ourselves were looking for a daycare that would not only offer care, but truly feel like a second home for our kids.
My partner Claire, who is a teacher, encouraged me to create a daycare that reflects our own values and ideas. With my expertise in construction, Claire’s knowledge in education, and the love we share as parents, Butzenhaff was born – a daycare where the well-being and development of each child is at the heart of everything we do. Here, children can play freely, discover and learn in close connection with nature and in a warm, family-like environment we’ve built with heart and passion.

As a Director, I ensure the smooth operation of the structure by overseeing administrative management, leading the educational team, and guaranteeing the well-being of the children. My role is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children, working closely with parents—a relationship that is at the heart of my commitment.

With a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, I worked as an educator for 8 years before taking on the role of director. This hands-on experience has allowed me to develop a caring and needs-based educational approach tailored to young children.
As a mother of two young children, I understand the importance of high-quality childcare and a trusting relationship between families and early childhood professionals. I am dedicated to fostering a warm and stimulating environment in the daycare, ensuring that each child can grow and thrive in a secure and well-adapted setting.

As a qualified early childhood educator, I have been working with young children with passion for the past six years. My pedagogical journey has allowed me to develop a caring and individualized approach that respects each child’s rhythm and needs. Observation and close collaboration with parents are essential to me. I place great importance on creating a safe and stimulating environment that encourages discovery, autonomy, and the personal growth of each child. Because I am deeply convinced that early development and well-being are supported by a rich and inspiring environment, I put nature at the heart of my educational approach.

I’m Jil, a 24-year-old childcare assistant, born and raised in the municipality of Wahl. I am currently on maternity/parental leave, but I look forward to returning to my role, bringing my big smile to ensure the well-being and happiness of your children. With my experience in animal-based pedagogy, I can also support their development as we enjoy interacting with nature and the animals at Butzenhaff together.

I’m Linsay, 26 years old, a certified educator since 2017, and a mother of two boys. With my training in Snoezelen and my professional experience, I care for the youngest ones, from 0 to 1 year old, with love and passion. I also organize Snoezelen sessions on various themes, allowing both little ones and older children to explore the world of sensory experiences and relaxation. I look forward to accompanying your little ones, from their very first smile to their first steps.

I’m Clara, a 20-year-old childcare worker. I’ve recently graduated in ‘specialised education with psycho-educational support’, and I’m about to join the team. In addition to my studies, I’ve gained experience with toddlers by working with my mum, a childminder. I’m excited by the idea of meeting your children, accompanying them in their development, but above all taking care of them.

After training as a graphic designer, I quickly realized that working with children suited me better, so I decided to change direction.
Caring for and supporting children is something very close to my heart. With my experience in this field, I’m motivated to support the Butzenhaff team and to offer children a lively, safe, and playful environment.
I personally grew up on a farm, where I developed a passion for nature and animals. Alongside my work at the daycare, I have also opened a pedagogical farm, where children can experience animals and nature in a fun and hands-on way.

I am joining this wonderful existing team by contributing a complementary perspective and working collaboratively to provide the best possible support for every child.
